Worst House on the Street: Scarlette and Stuart Douglas present Channel 4's new home renovation series

The brother and sister will be helping families transform run-down houses into dream homes.

Brother and sister property developers, Scarlette and Stuart Douglas, will be fronting Channel 4's new home renovation series, Worst House on the Street.

A Place in the Sun presenter Scarlette and her brother Stuart last appeared on our TV screens together in a special edition of Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer's Love It or List It, as part of Channel 4's Black to Front project in September last year.

Now, the siblings will be returning to Channel 4 with Worst House on the Street, sharing tips, tricks and hacks to help thrifty homeowners pull off renovations far in excess of their budgets or expectations.

'Everyone is under pressure to make their money go further these days. Scarlette and Stuart will demonstrate how, with some tried and tested tricks, it is possible to renovate the worst house to the best house on the street,' says Clemency Green, Senior Commissioning Editor for Channel 4 Daytime and Features.

What happens in each episode of Worst House on the Street?

The six-part series follows Scarlette and Stuart using their creative expertise to help families transform run-down houses into dream homes, and all without blowing the bank. With over 70 per cent of renovations going over time and budget, Scarlette and Stuart will use every trick in their book to help families make their money go further.

At the end of the project they'll reveal how much their innovative and thrifty changes have increased the value of the property by.

This isn't the only property series that Scarlette and Stuart will be appearing on. The duo are also fronting Flipping Fast, alongside George Clarke. The property competition format on Channel 4 is about budding developers hoping to start their own property business.

Worst House on the Street, produced by South Shore and co-produced with the Motion Content Group, will air on 15th September at 8pm on Channel 4.
